AAP1s and AAP2s have been moved into a single group paid at band 5. This was announced by Emma Williams via email to all staff on Thursday. We had been raising this issue through many channels for some time and it was a key request in our recent letter to Fionna Moore (SECAmb Acting CEO).
SECAmb UNISON Branch welcomes the long overdue move to get pay right for all colleagues in this group.
However, we are also aware how this positive move for some has left others feeling at detriment from the effects of the previous policy. We have therefore written to the Trust requesting a review of the unintended consequences of this action and a remedy for those who have been affected.
